Romans 5:8 NLT
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. As we celebrate Easter let’s be reminded of His great love. His love is vast, stretched out far and deep for you and me. God’s love is displayed clearly on the cross. He died for us and rose on the third day, so that all our sins are forgiven and that we receive the gift of eternal life. There is nothing that we could ever do to earn His love or stop Him from loving us. God meets our deepest needs and the longings of our hearts. Let’s seek Him and be in His presence everyday and every moment. And enjoy His grace, love and mercy that’s freely available to all of us. Happy Easter, everyone!

We are watching and waiting for move of God in our lives everyday but it is more so in the beginning of new year.
As we watch and wait, are we seeking Him constantly and praying steadfastly? Be watchful and vigilant and be on alert. God speaks in still and feeble voices (1 Kings 19:12). If our focus is on this world and its approval then we are distracted and can’t hear Him. Put away the worldly things and get down on your knees and really listen to His voice with a willing heart and be fully focused on Him alone. God’s plans are to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We should be reminded of His promises as we wait for His move and more importantly His second coming (Matt 24:42). Matthew 1:23 (NIV):
"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel." Immanuel means God with us, He truly is always with us and within us. He was born for us, to give us eternal life. Be reminded of His redemptive plan for us as we celebrate His birth. There is chaos and brokenness around us but in the midst of it receive His tender mercy and abundant grace, and walk in His unexplainable peace. Don’t miss Him in the midst of shopping, baking and partying. Pray earnestly and seek Him for yourself and thank Him for the gift of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Acknowledge that everything you need is found in Him and be His light. Merry Christmas!! Hebrews 13:15
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. We offer up a sacrifice of praise to God. This sacrifice is offered up through Jesus, empowered by him and not by our own strength. Our lifestyle ought to be one of praise continually offered up to God, in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). What we speak and say need to offer up praise to God, both in what we say and how we say it, in turn produces fruit of thankful hearts. Let’s give praises and thanks to His name. Happy Thanksgiving! Job 42:1-6
Then Job replied to the Lord: 2 “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. 3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’ Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know. 4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you shall answer me.’ 5 My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you. 6 Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes.” For 38 chapters God didn't speak to Job but when God spoke he said I see it now, You are sovereign. May be today you are going through something that you don’t see any light at the end of the tunnel but God knows and He sees it so trust Him completely and don’t rely on your understanding. God’s ways are sometimes opposite of what we want and expect. But we can absolutely trust that His ways are best. Let’s remember to consider what God’s purposes are and align our expectations and desires around His. Psalms 128:2
You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you. As we celebrate Labor Day, we are reminded of the work that God blessed us with. We celebrate with grateful hearts and be thankful for all those who work and make our lives better each day. Genesis 2:15 says "The LORD God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and care for it." Work is God ordained. It’s a order from God for all humanity. By working you are obedient to God and follow His order. As you enjoy this day of rest and relaxation, be filled with God’s peace. Gather and pray prayers of thankfulness. And be grateful for being chosen by God and for being blessed with all the talents to work. All those who labor are blessed by God and it is well with you. Happy Labor Day! 1 John 1:3
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. In this book, John's teaching was about shared fellowship. The idea of fellowship, from the Greek koinōnia, was an important concept in the New Testament (Acts 2:42). In 1 John 1:3, John gives the importance of fellowship with each other. And, he reminds us that we also have fellowship with both Christ and God the Father. This reflects the Great Commandment, found in Matthew 22:37–40, to love God and love your neighbor as yourself. As we fellowship and share with one another, we strengthen our walk with the Lord. A right relationship with God is seen as essential to right relationships with people. 1 Peter 2:16
Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. As you celebrate Independence Day today, remember and honor the leaders who sacrificed for our freedom. As Christians be reminded of the freedom we have In Christ. We have freedom to proclaim gospel and worship in open air. It’s a privilege and opportunity. Be thankful for this freedom and take every opportunity to show how grateful you are. Thank the Lord for freedom we have from the bondage of sin. Live fully for we have freedom in Christ. Happy Independence Day! Luke 15:20
So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. In Luke 15, Jesus teaches us the parable of lost son. We see here how a father shows compassion towards his son who is broken and lost. There is a special bond between father and his children that will always remain no matter how imperfect both are. This is how Jesus sees a father would be. The love of our Father in heaven is unconditional and everlasting. So today, take time to appreciate and honor your fathers that are in your life. They worked hard all their lives to provide the best for you and sacrificed their own time to spend with you and give you joy. We love our amazing fathers. Happy Father’s Day! Proverbs 31:26-29
“She opens her mouth in wisdom; kindly instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband, too, praises her: ‘Many are the women of proven worth, but you have excelled them all.’” Mothers play an important role in the lives of their families. Their selfless love and support needs to be celebrated and appreciated. As the guardians of future generations, they are instrumental in instilling the principles of the faith in their children, taking care of their households, and helping others in need. We love and appreciate our mothers always. Honor your Moms today. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers! |
