Arise, shine;
For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1 Arise and shine since our Lord has given us the light of salvation. His light is shining in us whether we notice or not. He protects us and guides us by His light (Psalm 119:105). When you spend time in His presence either by reading His word or by praise or in prayer, He will reveal His light more in your life and the path gets clear as you walk through this life. In His presence, you will not be worried or bogged down by cares of this life. You are not alone; He is always beside you and in you; The glory of the Lord is risen upon you and His light has come. Receive that light and share it with others and walk in harmony and peace. By sharing the good news, you not only get to receive the gift of salvation but give it to others who has not yet received. Be filled with His light and Shine as the day of His coming is getting closer.

Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. We all must work to make a living. The word of God says to work with all your heart as if you are working for the Lord. When it says with all your heart, that means you give it all. Don’t cut corners or skip. Be excellent at what you do and give your best to God. Also be mindful of the state of your heart and attitude. As Christians, our reward comes from the Lord. Our reward on earth may be the peace of mind or encouragement from your peers or even a promotion. Work hard and encourage others as well. Let your work ethic be the reflection of your faith. Make sure to put God first. If you overwork and try to get reward from your human masters, you might be making your work as an idol. Matthew 6:21 says, for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The purpose of your work is to show that Christ is at work in you. During this Holy Week, let’s reflect on Jesus, how He was crucified on the cross for our sins and made us clean. Isaiah 1:18 says "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Through His blood we are cleansed and made whole. And that is the gift of salvation for all mankind.
John 3: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We need Jesus for our salvation. We cannot be saved by good works. We are born-again when we give our lives to Jesus and be baptized with His Holy Spirit. We do good works because He lives in us. If you have not said yes to Jesus yet, open your heart and receive Him, and receive this gift of salvation that is free for all. Now is the time, cease the moment. Jesus is the only answer. He is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). Receive Him and be saved, draw close to Him and receive fresh anointment on your life. Whether you know it or not, you are chosen by God to fulfill His calling upon your life.
Esther 4:14b “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” In the book of Esther, we see how God has chosen Esther to save her people. She obeyed every step of His plan, even though she didn’t know if she could make a difference. She fasted and prayed, and sought God’s voice in her life. Discipline your life and listen to God’s still voice and follow His plan for you. He has uniquely gifted us to do something for His kingdom. God has given us talents, and when we use them for His glory and multiply the talents, He will say well done and bless us with more (Matthew 25: 21, 29). You are uniquely created and whatever talent He has given you, He can use it for His glory. Whether we see it or not, the Lord is always guiding our path. It’s our choice to listen and obey, and follow His path. In the past, He has faithfully led us through the difficult times and in future He will continually guide us and provide for us.
Isaiah 58:11 says, The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Water is essential for living. Sometimes our lives lack water specially in tropical sun scorched times. We cannot make water for ourselves. Only God can provide us mound springs in a desert. He not only provides but also strengthens our body. When we have the hand of God on our lives, we are like watered garden that has continual flow of water no matter what the season might be. Since we are in Christ, we are like spring whose waters never fail. The Lord is our unfailing spring forever. Amen! |
