Psalm 55:22
Cast your cares on the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken. Cast all your worries and burdens on Him. Don’t live in bondage that the devil has trapped you in. Have you heard of saying “Let Go and Let God”. Whatever you are going through in life, give it to God and let Him handle your burdens. Be surrounded by people who remind you of His grace and mercy in your trying times. Share the testimonies that He already gave you and remind yourself that He will do it again. The devil is like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour, be on alert ( 1 Peter 5:8). Knowing this clear from the Bible, use wisdom to guard against the devil’s schemes. Avoid places and things that drag you back in bondage. Pray constantly without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and ask the Holy Spirit to help you (Zechariah 4:6). Seek Him now and let go of the strongholds. Phil 4:13 says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Let it go and step into God’s amazing plans. Start believing in Him and things will change quickly. Nothing is impossible for God!

Our words that we use are important, they can make or break a person. Think twice before you say a word.
Proverbs 18:21 The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit. What kind of words are we using? Does it bring glory to God? Are we building or tearing others? These are the some of the questions that we need to ask ourselves. Ephesians 4:29 says, Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. The words that we speak to others and ourselves should be encouraging and uplifting. The root of the problem is our mind. Our thoughts over time, become words in action. Philip 4:8 says, And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Let us all strive to have mind of Christ so that we can speak life to others and ourselves and be part of building His kingdom bringing glory and honor to His holy name. Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. As believers, we need to stay strong in the Lord because our source of strength is found in Jesus, for His word says, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Phil 4:13). As humans, we fail and we are weak but Christ’s power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinth 12:9). When we draw our strength from Him, we are limitless and soar like an eagle to new heights. Isaiah 40:31 says “But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” We just need to put our trust in Jesus rather than our own strength or wisdom. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5). You are an overcomer and you are strong in Him. Be strong and victorious through our Lord Jesus Christ! Every day we are presented with choices, either with your thoughts or how you spend your time. Have we ever thought, every single decision that we make is going to effect in one way or the other? The choices that you made long time ago, led to the destination that you are in, right now. Galatians 6: 7b says You will always harvest what you plant. What are you harvesting in? What kind of choices are you making? Is it pleasing to God?
Mark 4:24 says The measure you give will be the measure that comes back to you. The measure can be the time you put in, or how you spend your money. If you spend your money buying things, then you will end up having lots of things. If you spend your time having bad thoughts about something then you will end up miserable, frustrated and anxious. Spend your time and thoughts wisely, and make a Godly choice that will please God. The Bible says in Psalm 90:12; Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Our days are few so use wisely to glorify God. Invest into things that are eternal and dwell on things that bring glory to God. Make Godly choices and live a life that is pleasing to God. As we begin this new year, we need to remind ourselves that we are God’s masterpiece. He created us in His own image (Genesis 1:27). He is reborn in our hearts and created us anew. He lives in us (Romans 8:10). We are His children. 2 Corinthians 6:18 says And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the LORD Almighty.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Since God lives in us and we are His children, we need to do good things. Not because, by doing good we can be saved. We are saved by His grace. That’s His gift to all of us (Ephesians 2:8). Let’s begin doing good works because He lives in us. Ephesians 6:9 says, so let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don't give up. When unbelievers look at children of God, they see His image coming through in us. We are like a window where they can see Jesus and want to come to Him. By this, we can fulfill His ultimate goal of winning souls for Him. |
