Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

As we step into the holy week, meditate on God’s unconditional love towards you and me. Christ died for us. He took our place.

Christ took the judgment for our sin on Himself on the cross. He suffered and died in our place. He died for us before we would ever done anything to deserve that love.

Is it any wonder that at the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, the sun darkened, the earth quaked, and rocks split? Even the centurion, and those under his command who were guarding Jesus, remarked: “Truly, this was the Son of God!”(Matt 27:54)

God proved His abundant love for us, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

God loves you more than you will ever know.
