1 John 4:8
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.

As we go through this season of advent and are preparing our hearts for Christ to receive His bride which is the church itself, we need hold fast to Him and His word. His word is powerful; it works our hearts to change and turn a wounded heart to His true love.

He first loved us, so receive His pure love now and share it with others. As He loved us, so we love one another, and that’s the new commandment He gave us in John 13:34.

It’s easy to say I love you but not always easy to do so. What is love? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 clearly states Love is patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, not proud, does not dishonor others, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, rejoices with truth, protects, trusts, hopes and always perseveres.

God lives in us since He is love (1 John 4:8). Let us experience His beautiful love by living in His word.
