Matthew 6:33
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Without even thinking sometimes we just go after what makes us feel good and worthy, which is mostly worldly and gives temporary satisfaction. Per Matthew 6:33, when Jesus preached on the Mount, he said to seek first the kingdom of God, and all the other things will be added to you.

Our first and foremost thing to do is to seek the salvation which is inherent in the kingdom of God. We don’t know when the life will end. What we store on earth will be destroyed one day. Matthew 6:19 says “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

The kingdom of God has eternal value which is greater than the riches of this world. That doesn’t mean that we abandon our lives, instead live the life that God gave us that leads towards His kingdom. Share the good news of salvation with unbelievers, live by His word and in obedience, and love God and one another.

Don’t go after the world but seek His kingdom FIRST!
