Give Generously - By Esther Campbell

2 Corinthians 9:7, NLT
You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.
 
One of main characteristic of our God is giving. He gave His Only Son so that we can have everlasting life (John 3:16). God is love and those who are anchored in His love have a genuine generous heart. The compassion and kindness that we show reflects the generous heart.
 
There are many opportunities around us to show generosity. Not just material possessions but giving of talents and gifts that edify the body of Christ. But when you give make sure your left hand doesn’t know what your right hand is doing (Matthew 6:3).
 
2 Corinthians 9:7 says God loves a cheerful giver. All that we have belongs to God anyway, so let us give it back to God what belongs to Him. Each one of us should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in various forms (1 Peter 4:10).
 
Let our generous heart be reflection of Him.
