Mark 5:36
Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” One of the Synagogue leaders named Jairus came to Jesus and said, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”(Mark 5:23) Jesus was on his way to heal his daughter but He was interrupted with other’s needs and got delayed in reaching to Jairus ‘ daughter on time. She was dead, they said (Mark 5:35). Jesus said, “The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him (Mark 5:40). Jesus took her hand and asked her to get up and she stood up immediately (Mark 5:41-42). Jairus who was full of faith came to Jesus for healing for his daughter. But Jesus got delayed and many got disappointed and laughed. Jairus waited and believed. Importantly he continued to walk with Him even with His delay. Are we willing to wait for God to answer our prayers? Trusting God is, trusting His timing. Embrace His timing and be empowered. Even the dead will come to life. Delay is as much as part of God’s plan as the promise itself.
