Our Good Shepherd - By Esther Campbell

John 10:14-15
14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. 15 As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

A shepherd protects his sheep at all times and at any cost. Many nights a shepherd stays awake to watch over his sheep to protect them from danger. He leads them to green pasture for continuous supply of food and nourishment.

Jesus describes Himself as “The Good Shepherd”. He feeds, protects, guides and cares for us. He went one step further - He died on the cross and paid the penalty for our sins, failures and mistakes.

He took our shame and guilt and gave us freedom and purpose in life. If that was not enough, He also put His Spirit in us so that we will never be alone without God in us.

With the Lord Jesus Christ as your Shepherd you have His guaranteed protection, preservation and provision always.
