As Christmas is fast approaching we are planning and preparing for the big day, not just for family gatherings but also gift giving. It may not be a pleasant season for those who are alone or going through circumstances or battling a sickness.
We might be burdened with situations in families or fighting loneliness, we become tired of reasoning and our minds get clogged. Joyce Meyer says when the mind is busy it’s called ‘abnormal mind’ in her book, Battlefield of the Mind. What do we do when we are weary and burdened? Go and rest in Jesus. The Bible says, Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. When we are rested in God:
Seek Him with all your heart, mind and soul this busy season and rest in His presence more than worrying. Remember, He is the reason for this season.

Amen. I find my peace and source of strength in God’s Word. Today I was reading only the Words of Jesus and one of the things I read was come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest. It’s a rest not like any other. It’s rest for our body, soul and spirit. I have found the holidays are not as hard as I thought they would be when I stay in the Word everyday. Jesus is our peace!
