2 Corinthians 3:17 For “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom”.
Christ gave you new life, so don’t look back and bring back the sin that tortured you all these years. Get rid of the evil spirit of the past, and walk in the Spirit of the Lord and in the new found freedom. There is no condemnation in Christ. Romans 8:1 says, Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Don’t listen to lies of the enemy and feel guilty of your past, instead move on and live in Grace of God. And start living a life that is pleasing to God. The Holy Spirit empowers you with the freedom to walk in your new life in Christ. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36. Live in His freedom because He already set you free. Happy Independence Day, everyone!

2 Corinthians 6:18
"And, 'I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.'" God called each one of His own children. We have such a privilege to be called His children. We lack nothing when we have our Father God next to us. He is perfect in every way. No one can replace our Father in heaven. He is our ultimate Father. He guides His children with patience and love, teaching them right from wrong, showing them grace and sharing His wisdom every step of the way. Embrace God, our everlasting Father and walk in His ways. Your Heavenly Father loves you very much, and is present with you today, and always. Happy Father's day, everyone! John 14:26
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. A common struggle in difficult times is the feeling of helplessness and worry about an unknown future. The leading of the Holy Spirit can ease struggles by guiding you to acts of obedience. He does not always give you the big picture, but He will show you the next step. Walking closely with the Holy Spirit will not only give you direction but will remind you that you are not alone. God is not distant. He is with you in difficulty. He is making a way for you. The Holy Spirit comforts and reminds you of the truth. The Holy Spirit will also lead you in obedience. He will bring direction in your life. Amen! Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, describes and identifies characteristics of a Christian who is seeking life as a disciple. In Matthew 5:9, Jesus is stating that ‘Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God’. It means that those who put their faith in Him and actively pursue peacemaking will receive the eternal reward of being called children of God, as they reflect the Father's character of peace and unity. The peacemakers are called children of God simply because they have been given new hearts through Jesus and are reflecting the peace of God as they are made more and more like Him. Their eternal reward for following Jesus and emulating the peace of Christ is to be welcomed into the family of God. Let's pursue peacemaking and receive the eternal reward of being called children of God. Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. God is trustworthy even when you don’t see your prayers answered or problems solved right away. Life is unpredictable and difficult at times, and that difficulty may persist for longer than you had hoped. Wait, trust, and remember that God loves you. You can trust Him to sustain you, provide for you and be with you even in the midst of your hardship. Jesus guaranteed His followers that they would face hard times (John 16:33), but He promised that He would always be with them (Matthew 28:20). God is completely trustworthy, but He does not ask you to trust Him blindly. He wants you to learn to trust Him as you get to know Him. You can get to know God through personal time with Him and through His Word. Spend time exploring aspects of His trustworthiness in verses of Scripture. In times of doubt, remember His promises. Remember who He has always been. Even in doubt and uncertainty, if you keep going to Him, He will continually show Himself to be trustworthy. God works for the good of those who love Him. Trust His plans and His ways. 1 Samuel 2:1-2, “Then Hannah prayed and said: ‘My heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance. There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.’”
Hannah in the old testament, prayed for a son. She was praying so hard that her lips were moving but no sound came out so that the priest, Eli, thought she was drunk. God answered her prayers, opening her barren womb, giving her a son. The sincere prayers of a mother moved God’s heart. One of the best gifts we can give our children is the gift of prayer. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. You have a Heavenly Father who’s eager to answer. Not only prayers for physical protection, but more importantly, spiritual protection for their minds and hearts. The future may be uncertain, but God is unchanging and fully capable of taking care of your children. We are ever grateful for our praying Mothers. Happy Mother’s Day! Revelation 4:11
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” To glorify God is to honor Him for who He really is. God has glory because He is infinitely valuable. Human beings have glory because we are created in the image of the One who is all-glorious (Genesis 1:27). Honor originates in our hearts and refers to the value we personally place on something or someone. How do we honor God? We honor God by being His temple ( 1 Corinthians 6:19). We honor God by our wealth (Proverbs 3:9). We honor God by living lives devoted to Him (Romans 14:8). We honor God with pure heart (Isaiah 29:13). We honor God by seeking Him continually (1 Chronicles 16:11). When we make choices that reflect the place He has in our hearts, we bring Him the greatest honor. Mark 5:36
Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” One of the Synagogue leaders named Jairus came to Jesus and said, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live.”(Mark 5:23) Jesus was on his way to heal his daughter but He was interrupted with other’s needs and got delayed in reaching to Jairus ‘ daughter on time. She was dead, they said (Mark 5:35). Jesus said, “The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him (Mark 5:40). Jesus took her hand and asked her to get up and she stood up immediately (Mark 5:41-42). Jairus who was full of faith came to Jesus for healing for his daughter. But Jesus got delayed and many got disappointed and laughed. Jairus waited and believed. Importantly he continued to walk with Him even with His delay. Are we willing to wait for God to answer our prayers? Trusting God is, trusting His timing. Embrace His timing and be empowered. Even the dead will come to life. Delay is as much as part of God’s plan as the promise itself. Matthew 28:5-7
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.” The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. Without the resurrection, the belief in God's saving grace and mercy through Jesus is void. When Jesus rose from the dead, he proved his divinity as the Son of God and his works of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. The resurrection was a real, physical raising of Jesus’ body from the dead. He has overcome death as those who believe in Him will have eternal life. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."( John 3:16) Happy Easter, everyone! Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. As we step into the holy week, meditate on God’s unconditional love towards you and me. Christ died for us. He took our place. Christ took the judgment for our sin on Himself on the cross. He suffered and died in our place. He died for us before we would ever done anything to deserve that love. Is it any wonder that at the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, the sun darkened, the earth quaked, and rocks split? Even the centurion, and those under his command who were guarding Jesus, remarked: “Truly, this was the Son of God!”(Matt 27:54) God proved His abundant love for us, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. God loves you more than you will ever know. |
